How to raise your vibration- 8 tips to get you started......

Want to feel a stronger connection to spirit, live in a better emotional space, think more positively and even feel better physically? YOU need to raise your vibration, my friend!
Here are a couple of tips you can use to raise your vibration and attract more positive people, situations and thoughts into your life.
1. Meditate- Meditation forces the mind and body to be still so that you can be open to receiving any messages that your higher self, spirit, God, the Universe is trying to send you. Because you are quiet, it allows spiritual awareness and inspiration to reveal itself.
2. Be mindful of what you are watching, listening to and reading. I remember watching "Breaking Bad", but I didn't watch it through the season but instead "binge" watched it. It didn't take long to wear at my soul and thoughts and lower my vibration. Don't get me wrong, great show, but not one filled with positivity, spiritual influence or "happy thoughts" that are going to help you raise your vibration. If you are feeling like you are operating at a lower vibration, take a moment to do an inventory of what you are being exposed to. Seek out positive, spiritual books, readings, documentaries and podcasts to help get you back on the high vibration track.
3. Drink lots of water! Water is so beneficial for so many reasons, but more than the health benefits, water is a form of prana, or energetic life force. Be sure to drink plenty of filtered water throughout the day to flush you out and raise your vibe!
4. Practice ahimsa. Ahimsa is the sanskrit word and is literally translated to, "not to injure." Ahimsa is also referred to as nonviolence and compassion to all living things. This does not have to mean physically hurting something or someone, but pay attention to how you are reacting and treating each and every living being. Manipulating someone or gossiping are not ways to raise your vibration. Try to catch yourself whiel you're going to that critical place and if you do go there, replace every negative or nasty thought you feel or think about someone, replace it with something positive. This includes thoughts and actions towards YOU!!!
5. Be still and heal. Let go of the past. If you haven't cleaned out the cobwebs of the past and need to forgive and let go, try to find a way to do that. One practice that can be beneficial to letting go is writing down what you feel you are still holding on to that is holding you back, use a white candle and with that candle, light the paper on fire and give it to the universe. Let it go. You also may want to seek out the help from a practitioner, if need be.
6. Take time to be outside in nature. It’s easy to get caught up in today’s world of information and forget the natural world. One word: UNPLUG. Be it a walk,along the beach or a quick half hour walk through the local park on your way home, getting out into nature each day will help you clear your mind, ground you and become more present. It will also send you the reminder of the beautiful planet you are living on and keep you interconnected to the earth.
7. Eat wholesome, healthy, in season foods, when you can. Food, like water, also has a vibration attached to it. When you eat canned, frozen or leftover foods, you are lowering your vibrational flow. Choose free range or organic foods when you can and try to choose healthier foods over junk foods. For goodness sake, always, always read the labels so you know what you are putting in your body.
8. Create a sanctuary space that is just yours. Even if you live with others, choose a room or space of a room that is just yours. Decorate it with photos, statues or objects that you connect with and just by looking at them, you feel happy and positive. You may even choose to create an alter for spiritual awakening. Light a candle there and set your intention for what you would like to cultivate in your life.
Raising your vibration and heightening your spiritual awareness is a process. Give yourself space if you fall off the positivity path but take the lesson and know it is all meant to be on your journey.
